October 2013 Temple Trip

Temple Tour has begun. I decided to take all of you on some of our Holidays to see different Temples and tell you some cool factoids about them. These were the 4 we saw in October.

Summer ends, school begins....

Wrapping up Summer. You and Ridge ran around for HOURS. It was an awesome way to end the summer break.

I love you handsome kid. First Day of School. I just love it when you real smile!  I can't believe you are in 5th Grade.

HAPPY ELDERS....Hunter came home from California and Bridger was off to Africa. These are your favorite men. I can't believe how grown up they are and I am SO glad you have them as some examples in your life. I can't wait to be celebrating your Mission farewell/come home with you. You will be an AWESOME Missionary!

The Zoo with Benny-Boo

 We kicked off the summer with the zoo. :O) It was so much fun. All the animals were out, it was AWESOME!

 

 Our favorite thing to sit and watch is the bears when they are playing with their teeth :O)

Summer in July...WATER

 This picture reminds me of when you were 2 years old. You would just stand under the water or sprinkler or shower....YOU have always loved water. 

 I love your sweet face!  When you are all alone and thinking...well, imagining you get this look. You are so talented, creative, & amazing. Thank you for being my boy!

City Of Rocks my World!

 This is the first year we went to City of Rocks with Auntie Bec and the other Coonys who join! It was SO MUCH FUN and will be a staple in our yearly routine!!!!

 We stopped at a gas station and these two cuties were following us around.

 Climbing, catching lizards, being free for 3 days to do WHATEVER!

 The Month of January was a good month. Brian and I fasted and prayed for you all month! To know how to help you, to know where to lead you, to be the parents/examples you need us to be. As I think of how I felt and what I felt, I saw you grow up so much in January. The things your realize about each home and about life and who you want to be.

I'm so thankful for Brian's idea to fast and pray for you! At the end of the month we talked about what we felt and where we think you could do better and what we think you do awesome.  You set a goal and asked for a blessing to help you achieve it. You are an example to me in so many ways. After Brian gave you the blessing you and I talked and you told me how you felt the Spirit and how it made you feel safe and happy. 

I want to tell you I know the Holy Ghost will always comfort you when you are doing whats right. The Lord will bless you with peace and that same happy and safe feeling when something is right! Thank you for being such a good kid, for helping me and loving all these sisters!

December Fun

December started out with you getting a Special Date with Grandma Susan! You had so much fun going to "Wreck it Ralph." We are so super lucky to have her in our family now and to be blessed with all the love she has to give!

Grandma Susan also made all of you kids special pillow cases for the Month of December. You got The Grinch and have slept with it every night....it has seemed to even make you pillow more comfortable, because its to ONLY one you can use now!! :O)

And "fake" Santa came to our Ward Christmas party. You made me laugh when you said..."Mom this is the same fake Santa as last year, but it's ok...the younger kids don't know he's not the real one!" I love you kid!

You asked for LEGOS!!!! I think he got the message!
